Where Efficiency Actually Gets Decided
Michael Fischer runs residential remodeling and construction out of Scottsdale, and energy efficiency here isn't a separate product you buy. It's a set of decisions that get made inside the work we already do — when a wall of glass gets replaced, when a kitchen layout moves, when a pergola goes up on the west side of a house. Get those decisions right while the walls are open and you don't have to come back later.
We'll be straight with you about scope: we don't sell standalone energy audits, insulation retrofits or mechanical system swaps. What we do is design and build the six project types below, and we think through how each one performs once you're living with it. If the efficiency gain you're after sits outside our scope, we'll tell you that during the free quote rather than stretch the job to cover it.

The Six Projects We Build, and the Choices Inside Them
- Sliding & Accordion Door Wall Systems — custom folding door systems, sliding glass walls and accordion openings. Swapping a tired old slider for a properly specified, properly sealed door wall is the single biggest change to a home's envelope in most of the jobs we take on, and it's the one clients feel first in August.
- Kitchen Remodeling — we design and build custom kitchens from the ground up, handling cabinetry, countertops and layout. A layout change is your one chance to sort out where appliances sit, where the daylight lands and where you still need a light switched on at 2pm.
- Bathroom Remodeling — walk-in shower conversions, vanity upgrades and full spa-inspired redesigns of outdated bathrooms. Fixture and glazing choices get made at the same time as the tile, not after.
- Living Room Renovation — layout updates, new flooring, custom built-ins and fireplace surrounds. Opening a room up changes how air and light move through it, so the plan accounts for both.
- Backyard, Patio & Pool Design — custom pool installations, outdoor kitchens, hardscaping, pergolas and full backyard transformations. Shade structures placed over the glass that bakes all afternoon are shade you aren't paying to cool.
- Architectural Design & Project Management — in-house AutoCAD drafting, 3D renderings, floor plan development and permitting. This is where orientation, glazing and openings get resolved on paper first.
How the Planning Works, Step by Step
- We walk the property with you and measure the existing rooms, openings and where the sun hits through the day.
- We draft the plan in-house in AutoCAD, so changes happen in hours rather than being farmed out.
- You see 3D renderings of the finished space before anything is ordered or demolished.
- We develop the floor plans and pull the permits, and we deal with the inspection schedule.
- We build it, and you have one point of contact from the first measurement to the final walkthrough.
Quotes are free, and they're based on that walkthrough rather than a phone estimate. If you're weighing a door wall against a kitchen or trying to decide which project to do first, say so — sequencing matters, and some of these jobs are much cheaper when they happen together.
Who We Build For Across the Valley
We work in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Rio Verde, Carefree and Phoenix. Houses in these neighborhoods have a lot in common — plenty of glass, strong afternoon sun, outdoor space that gets used nine months of the year — and that shapes how we approach the design on nearly every job.
