How a Carefree Project Actually Runs

Here's what the sequence looks like from the first phone call to the last walkthrough. Nothing here is a surprise by the time we get to it.

1. We walk the property and measure — existing conditions, ceiling heights, where the structure and plumbing actually sit, not where the old plans say they sit.
2. We draft the plan in AutoCAD — floor plans and elevations drawn to the measurements we took, so bids are based on something real.
3. You see the 3D renderings — you look at the finished room before anything is demolished, and we change the drawing instead of the framing.
4. We price the scope and hand you a written quote — line items, allowances, and what's included.
5. We pull the permits and schedule the trades — Carefree and Maricopa County review gets handled on our end.
6. We build, then walk it with you — one list at the end, closed out before we leave.

The drawings are where you save money. Change your mind on paper and it costs nothing. Change it after the tile is set and it costs plenty.

Carefree projects do come with a few local realities worth planning for. Lot setbacks and dark-sky lighting expectations shape outdoor work. Septic and well systems on some properties affect how much you can move a kitchen or add a bathroom. Driveways are often long and narrow, which matters for dumpster and material staging. We account for all of it in the plan rather than discovering it in week three.
